Artist Statement
I am interested in how depictions of class and societal hierarchy define the individual both historically and in present day. I employ high craft through the process of needle felting into foam taxidermy forms, while the application of adornment exploits the forms as elite characters of an elevated class. Through the re-contextualization of traditional gaming forms and acquired skeletal remains, I aim to compel the viewer to formulate their own questions as to why individuals place emphasis on symbols of status, trophy and relic. Knowledge of such societal constructs can only continue to define our human experience.

Geo a day is a collaboration between Jeremiah Shaw and Danny Jones, who are, obviously, very into geometry.
